Other Activities

There are many tourist activities in Bordeaux and the surrounding region that are easily accessible by walking, bike, tram or train depending on the distance. Here we name some of our favorites. 

La Cite du Vin - New wine museum where you can learn about wine as well as taste some. There is a wonderful top floor bar and restaurant where you get a great view of the Garonne River and la rive droite (right side of the river).

Darwin - This former miliary facility has been 'eco-rehabilitated' and hosts organic food, sustainable shopping, street-art, skateboarding and more. Around Darwin you will also find other lively eateries and breweries like La Guinguette Chez Alrique that often hosts live music.

Bassin des Lumieres - An old WWII submarine base converted to a dazzling light show featuring famous artists and musicians. This is a must see!
